Vertical Clinic of Chiropractic
Effective Date: January 14, 2013 Last Updated: August 29, 2026
Vertical Clinic of Chiropractic ("Vertical Clinic of Chiropractic," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at verticalchiropracticut.com, how we use it, how we communicate with you by email and text message, and the choices you have.
By using our website or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or submit your information.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:
- Name and, where relevant, job title
- Contact information, including email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number
- Demographic information such as ZIP code, preferences, and interests
- Appointment requests and scheduling information you submit through our forms
- Information you provide in response to surveys, offers, or inquiries
- Website usage information collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring website
We collect this information when you fill out a form on our website, request an appointment, sign up for our email list, opt in to our text message program, contact us, or otherwise interact with us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and schedule, confirm, and follow up on appointments
- Maintain internal records and administer our practice
- Improve our products, services, and website
- Send you appointment reminders, care instructions, and other service-related communications
- Send you promotional emails and text messages about services, special offers, events, and clinic news, where you have opted in to receive them
- Conduct market research, which may include contacting you by email, phone, or mail
- Customize the website according to your interests
- Comply with our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
3. Email Marketing — Opt-In and Opt-Out
Opt-in. We send marketing and promotional emails only to individuals who have asked to receive them — for example, by checking a subscription box on one of our forms, signing up for our email list, or otherwise giving us permission. We do not add you to our marketing email list without your consent.
What we send. Marketing emails may include clinic news, health and wellness information, service announcements, special offers, and event invitations. Email frequency varies.
Opt-out. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by:
- Clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email we send you, or
- Emailing us at contact@verticalchiropracticut.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line
We will process your request promptly. Please note that even after you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you non-marketing, service-related messages — such as appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, billing communications, and responses to your questions — because these relate to your care and your relationship with our clinic.
4. Text Message (SMS/MMS) Program — Opt-In and Opt-Out
4.1 Consent to Receive Text Messages
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to our text message program, you agree to receive text messages from Vertical Clinic of Chiropractic at that number, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system.
Depending on the consent you give, these messages may include:
- Appointment and care messages — appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notices, intake and paperwork links, care instructions, and follow-up messages
- Conversational messages — two-way texts with our front desk about scheduling, questions, and general clinic matters
- Marketing and promotional messages — special offers, promotions, clinic news, events, and wellness information
Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving care. You do not have to agree to receive marketing text messages in order to become or remain a patient of Vertical Clinic of Chiropractic, or to receive any product or service from us.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of, or have authority to use, the mobile number you provide.
4.2 How to Opt In
You may opt in to our text message program by:
- Checking the text message consent box on a form on our website or on our patient intake paperwork
- Texting a designated keyword to our clinic number
- Providing your mobile number to our staff and confirming, verbally or in writing, that you agree to receive text messages
After you opt in, you will receive a confirmation message identifying our program, message frequency, and the instructions for getting help and for opting out.
4.3 How to Opt Out (STOP)
You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. We also honor the keywords UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPT OUT.
You do not have to use a specific keyword. We will honor any reasonable request to stop, made through any reasonable method — including telling a staff member, replying to a text in your own words, or emailing contact@verticalchiropracticut.com.
After you send an opt-out request, we will send you a single confirmation message acknowledging that you have been unsubscribed, and then we will stop sending text messages to that number. We honor all opt-out requests no later than ten (10) business days after we receive them, and in practice we act on them as quickly as possible.
If you opt out and later want to resume receiving text messages, you may opt in again using any of the methods described in Section 4.2.
Replying STOP stops all text messages from us, including marketing and appointment-related messages. If you would like to stop only one type of message — for example, marketing texts, but not appointment reminders — let us know by email and we will adjust your preferences accordingly.
4.4 How to Get Help (HELP)
For help, reply HELP to any of our messages or email us at contact@verticalchiropracticut.com. Replying HELP will return our clinic name and customer care contact information.
4.5 Carriers and Supported Devices
Our text message program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers. Not all mobile devices or handsets may be supported, and our messages may not be deliverable in all areas. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Mobile Information
We will never sell your information.
No mobile information — including your mobile phone number and your consent to receive text messages — will be shared with or sold to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We do share limited information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf — for example, our appointment scheduling software, email service provider, text messaging platform, website host, and analytics providers. These providers may only use the information to provide services to us, are contractually required to protect it, and may not use it for their own marketing purposes. Information sharing with these vendors is limited to what is necessary to deliver the service, including support of the text messaging program itself.
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our patients, staff, or others.
6. Protected Health Information
Information you provide to us as a patient in connection with your care may be protected health information governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable state law. Our handling of protected health information is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is available at our office upon request. Where this Privacy Policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices differ with respect to protected health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.
Please do not send sensitive health information to us by text message or unencrypted email. Text messages and email are not fully secure methods of communication, and by opting in to receive text messages you acknowledge that messages we send may be viewed by anyone with access to your device.
7. Cookies and Website Analytics

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. Declining cookies may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
8. Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may:
